Autism was at a time thought to be a psychosis, and a lot of people weren t up for it. It was later that someone suggested that it might be caused by a mother s lack of warmth and connection to her infant. Well, I have been told a lot of strange things, and certainly this thing about mother and child is not too farfetched for me. But I wonder that a mother would care so little for her kid, and then allow that to happen. It’s now clear that lack of warmt and connection to the infant is not the cause of autism.

Today, it is believed that the likely causes of autism are neurological abnormalities, and not poor parenting as was thought back in the early twentieth century when autism first emerged as a recognizable syndrome. Research supports this, but it still does not confirm or specify which or how. In any case, it is the necessary first step that will point mankind in the right direction for curing this malady I hope.

Autism is certainly no exception to this rule, because with a single search engine, you can get countless links that will take you to websites with all that you need to know about the condition. And if what you need is a physician to help out with your child, you can find one online.

Funny thing about twins and autism, it was found that identical twins tend to both be autistic a lot more frequently than twins that do not look alike. Now how would you explain that? Identical twins have the same DNA and fraternal twins share only half. Obviously, there s got to be something in the genes then that relates to the autism stain. When we learn that thing, we will know how to cure the syndrome, I daresay.
