Society does place a lot of responsibility on women, pushing them to emotional extremes that most men never even broach. As such when you see a woman who suffers from manic depressive illness, you would tend to be more understanding than you would to a man. However they both need your support and all the help they can get, and if you are the person in some position to help, you are the one to get it for them.

Over the past several decades, there have been several studies on bipolar disorder and its incidence, and it has been found that each year, all over the world, the numbers of people suffering from it reaches an alarming high. Discovering this is made easier because there is now more information and better equipment to help with the process. But it’s important to realize that there must be something that is bringing it about, and that needs to uncovered and solved soon.

Bipolar disorder is an illness that may come on slowly at first, and then deepen gradually over months or years. The fact that people who suffer from it are not usually aware that they do does little to improve the prognosis. And so, suffering from the condition could continue for a long while and you d never have a clue. Just pray you haven’t hurt anyone before you do, yourself inclusive.

If you got severely depressed, you d certainly appear so confused, frightened, and unbalanced that people would think you have just had a psychotic break. It s far away either when what you suffer from is mania, except that this time you are irrational and irritable with joy on your mind. Either way, it s not nice, especially when both extreme manifestations of warped mindedness are all part of the handy package that is bipolar disorder.
